Valentina, at the ripe old age of 2 months, has visited almost every museum and toddler-friendly attraction in the Bay Area. I guess that's what happens when you have a very active older sister and a mom who is on summer vacation. It is amazing how easy newborns are! they can go anywhere! The highlight for Alma was the dinosaur exhibit at the Lawrence Hall of Science, which was a shock because Alma had never really been in to dinosaurs and I thought she would find the realistic, moving growling dinosuars terrifying. But she made us go back the next week.

On the Oakland/San Francisco Ferry

The other summer activity highlight, our one night hotel stay at the local Embassy Suites. That is just about how much we could manage and afford at this time. It was awesome. Alma said, "I'm so excited!" about 15 times while we were there. Indoor waterfall and fish pond, swimming pool, fancy beds, glass elevators, long hallways for running, free cocktail hour and breakfast... genius!
